DRINKS from the night before put an early shift worker over the limit when he was stopped on the way to his office at 5.30am.
Matthew McKenzie, 23, of Aster Avenue, Kidderminster, was banned for a year and fined £160, with £55 costs.
He admitted driving with a blood alcohol count of 91, against the limit of 80.
He had been drinking the night before but had been to bed and believed he was fit to drive when he set out for Telford in the early morning, said his solicitor, Jonathan Dollin.
Police stopped him on the Bridgnorth road at Shatterford.
