Mike Denholm, an ex British Rail public affairs representative, gave a "photographic appreciation" of the last 20 years of steam on the main line and on heritage railways throughout the UK.
On Wednesday, June 13, the guest speaker will be Chris Bryant, a duty manager on the Midland Metro modern light rail system between Birmingham and Wolverhampton, which runs mostly on the old GWR mainline formation, which originally closed almost 30 years ago.
He will give an overview of the present system and will also outline plans for expansion to areas such as Birmingham city centre and Merry Hill.
