UP and coming television star Kate Taylor may look familiar to people in Wyre Forest.
She is one of Kidderminster College's latest batch of bright prospects set for a career in performing arts.
Kate, 17, who has previously appeared on BBC daytime drama Doctors, is set to hit the nation's screens later this year, having recently finished filming with former Eastenders star Paul Nichols. Kate Taylor
Central TV drama Blue Dove is expected to be broadcast in either August or September.
The "Class of 2001" has also produced one or two others who are hoping for successful careers in the industry.
Scholarship success has been achieved by Nathan Jones, Cathy Fox and Nicky Edwards.
Nathan has secured a scholarship with Bristol Old Vic theatre school, while Cathy Fox is to work at the Laban Centre for contemporary dance training and Nicky has a place with the Northern Contemporary Dance Theatre.
Joanne Orsler will work with Firehorse touring theatre company, and Carrie Turner is to join the line-up Edinburgh Festival.
A college spokeswoman said: "The performing arts students from Kidderminster College's class of 2001 have bright futures ahead of them due to our excellent reputation and links with the industry."
