A VALE school has walked the tightrope by teaching its pupils the delicate art of balance.
Nine-year-olds at St Nicholas CE middle school, Pinvin, near Pershore, enjoyed a visit from Splats Circus Skills last week.
The juggling lessons may help the youngsters to balance homework with watching The Simpsons, while staff are probably hoping that teaching kids to use stilts will encourage them to aim high.
The visit was part of an activities week organised for the children, which included an African dance workshop, a drum workshop, bell-boating at Fladbury and a health and fitness workshop.
Speaking about the week, school administrator, Mrs Sue Townley, said: "It was brilliant.
"Everyone really enjoyed it. The man from the circus skills was excellent, really good."
Teachers will be returning from half-term on Monday hoping the children haven't managed to teach themselves the art of custard pie throwing.
