AT Whilton Mill on Monday, Pershore's James Calado continued his flying form in round two of the Champions of the Future series.
James strode to victory in his opening two heats from grid positions of 12th and second.
In his third and final heat there seemed to be no stopping the youngster when, from last on the grid, he fought his way to second by lap six. But accidental contact with Daniel Smith ended the young gun's hopes of making it a perfect trio and 14th was the best he could do.
The two early wins were enough to give the 11-year-old fourth place on the grid for the A final and normal service had been resumed by the completion of lap four when James took the lead from Daniel Rowbottom having already passed Scott Jenkins and team mate Thomas Arme.
It was a lead that the youngster was not to surrender as he built a cushion ahead of the chasing pack. This win, along with second place in round one at PF International, leaves James in a strong position in the Formula Cadet MSA British Championship.
Disappointed with the dropped points in heat three, go-faster James said: "I'm really pleased with the final having been able to pull away from the pack.
"I'll be trying not to make any mistakes for the rest of the season so this score won't have to count."
