DARING volunteers will be dangling from the roof of a Worcester High Street store to mark the start of a week-long celebration of their hard work in the community.
A sponsored charity abseil down Marks & Spencer tomorrow will be the first of a host of activities in the city centre called Recognising, Recruiting and Rewarding.
Displays in CrownGate's Friary Square, moving on to Bell Square next Thursday, aim to promote recruitment in the voluntary sector.
And thousands of volunteers will be recognised for their hard work at a coffee morning at the Guildhall on Tuesday, June 5, hosted by the Mayor, Councillor David Clark.
Anyone interested in trying the abseil, or wanting details of the week's activities, should contact Sally Ellison at Worcester City Volunteer Bureau on 01905 24741 or call in to the office at 33 The Tything.
