WORCESTER'S Carnival Queen, Kirsty Evans, has rounded off an "unforgettable" year with a guest appearance on Worcester Hospital Radio.
The young ambassador has attended 46 events, visited the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters in Ireland, and even jumped out of a plane for charity during her year in the role.
The 21-year-old from St John's, who became Carnival Queen at her third attempt, spoke of her many experiences, saying it was a year she would never forget.
"Kirsty has been an absolutely superb Carnival Queen," said Carnival publicity officer Mike Dandey.
"She really wanted to be Queen and she's put so much effort into it and has loved every minute of it."
A recorded tribute to Kirsty by the former Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Mary Drinkwater, was also broadcast.
Accompanying Kirsty during the two-hour broadcast were presenters Steve Haywood and Andy Dean, who will be compering this year's Carnival Queen contest on Thursday, June 7.
There are still a few tickets for the judging of the 16 entrants, to be held at Huntingdon Hall, Worcester. Phone 01905 421917.
