ARE you the person who stole and vandalised our newly-installed memorial lights at Malvern Baptist Church, or do you know who did?
Mrs Joyce Coles gave us these lights in memory of her husband, an ex-Japanese Prisoner of War. This, perhaps, does not mean anything to you, but it should do.
We can replace the lights and get them working, at a cost, but we cannot put right the hurt that has been caused to Mrs Coles. Only you can do that by saying "sorry" to her. That is a much harder thing to do than mindlessly breaking and stealing other people's property.
If you are not too ashamed to own up I am sure that the Malvern Gazette would pass on your apology, if you had the courage to make one.
HYWEL DAVIES, Fabric Steward, Malvern Baptist Church.
