LANGLAND SPORTS 7, PORTOBELLO 2
LANGLAND Sports became champions of the third division on Sunday at Dukes Meadow with an emphatic win over Portobello.
Even without some of the usual side Sports gave a display of football that Portobello could not cope with in the early stages, with Stu Harvey (2), Pete Brannelly and David Beats, giving a half time score of 4-0.
In the second half Portobello started to play some better football and pulled a goal back through Andrew Davies.
Then Jason Howes took a throw in on the right hand side from which the Portobello keeper helped into his own net. Matthew Crook scored for Portobello.
Cliff Gardiner passed from the right for Lee Tandy to score and Pete Brannelly scored his second.
