THE Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra will be opening its concert at Pershore Abbey tomorrow night (Saturday) with Mozart's Marriage of Figaro Overture.
Solo violinist Professor Robin Stowell, head of music at Cardiff University, will perform the Beethoven Violin Concerto. The orchestra will perform Beethoven's Symphony No 5 in C.
The concert starts at 7.30pm.
The orchestra is currently looking to recruit new string players for its 2001/2002 season.
Players need no previous experience of orchestral playing and all standards will be considered.
The orchestra meets for Wednesday rehearsals, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, at St George's Church Hall in Worcester.
Anyone interested in playing should call 01905 356482.
