THE Courtyard arts centre, Hereford, starts off a star-studded week with an Oscar-winning examination of race and colour set in the 1960s.
Guess Who's Coming To Dinner tells the story of the proud parents of a well-to-do young lady awaiting the return of their only child, who is bringing home the man she wants to marry.
Based on the Oscar-winning film, the production stars Patrick Robinson (Ash in Casualty), George Sewell (The Detectives), Joan Hooley (Josie in EastEnders) and veteran film actor Dermot Walsh. It runs from Monday (June 4) to Wednesday (June 6) at 7.30pm, with a Wednesday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets start at £12.50 on 01432 359252.
Ledbury-based Middle Ground present Noel Coward's Present Laughter, from Thursday (June 7) to Saturday, June 9. It stars Richard Walsh (Sicknote in London's Burning) as the self-obsessed, Garry Essendine, Brian Cant as his faithful valet Fred and Anne Charleston (Madge in Neighbours) as his long-suffering secretary Monica. The show starts at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets start at £12.50.
