A WORCESTER schoolboy told his mum he would lock himself in the bathroom if he was forced to go to The Elgar High School.
Julie Price's son Dominic has been turned down by Nunnery Wood High because it is oversubscribed.
She says that, for the sake of his education, he should be able to join his 14-year-old sister there.
But the application has been turned down and Dominic could find himself going to The Elgar.
"We're very angry," said Mrs Price, of Blair Close, Warndon Villages. "We've been treated badly. My son has been bullied at junior school and he doesn't want to go to the same school as them. He said he'd lock himself in the bathroom if he had to.
"It'd be better for him to be at the same school as his sister."
She criticised the appeals procedure, saying she felt they had not been treated fairly.
But a Local Education Authority spokesman said all hearings had been conducted independently.
"Strict guidelines laid down by the DfEE ensure that the appeals panel remains independent from the LEA and the school."
The Prices' comments were prompted by Warndon dad Mark Suffolk, who has locked horns with school chiefs over his son, David.
"This is a massive issue which is affecting lots of families," said Mr Suffolk, of Bodiam Close.
Mr Suffolk wants David to join his 13-year-old brother, Daniel, at Nunnery Wood.
"Nunnery Wood is a popular and thriving school which is oversubscribed," said education director Julien Kramer.
"Dominic was one of 37 children turned down from outside the school's catchment area who have a brother or sister at the school.
"The appeal upheld the decision of the LEA and unfortunately, at this time, there's no place for Dominic."
