THE sky was the limit for Stephanie Stow who abseiled down the side of Marks & Spencer in the Shambles to raise money for the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
Paul Robinson from Edge Outdoor Activity Centre, near Hereford, helped Stephanie make the leap of faith on Saturday as part of National Volunteers Week.
Hundreds of shoppers watched more than 70 people abseil down the building in the event, organised by Worcester City Volunteer Bureau.
"Some people were partially sighted and one lady had her leg in a canopy," said Hedley Burton, co-ordinator for Worcester Wheels, which is part of a scheme run by the bureau.
"Nobody got cold feet at all because Edge Outdoor Activity Centre installed confidence into the people taking part.
"They were absolutely wonderful."
