WORCESTERSHIRE Cricket Board's hopes of progress in the ECB 38 County Cup are over after a 94-run defeat against their Warwickshire counterparts at Stratford-upon-Avon.

Warwickshire rattled up 275-2 in their 50 overs, thanks mainly to an unbroken 159 stand for the third wicket between Neil Humphrey (102 not out) and Chris Howell (66 not out). Ian Westwood also made 50 as Dave Manning took 2-39.

Worcestershire were bowled out for 181 despite 48 from Duncan Catterall and 40 from David Banks, as they suffered their second defeat in the group matches.
