ACTOR Simon Gregson says (Evening News, May 21) that it felt strange to dress up as a woman.

In the late 1960s in hospital, I once donned tights, a mini-skirt, slippers, a bra, a sweater and a battered trilby hat (I had a beard even then) and won a "most original male" prize in a fancy dress competition. My label was "The Lady is a Tramp."
