"DOES UKIP cater for all groups? In reply to Wendy Hands (You Say, May 29), a future UK Independence Party government would be neither Heathite nor Thatcherite, nor would it be Wilsonite or Blairite.
UKIP includes people of all backgrounds, who value freedom for the individual, freedom for businesses and local communities, freedom from patronising political-correctness, and from intolerance and injustice.
We attract support from across the political spectrum united by the desire to be able to govern ourselves (more than 80 per cent of our laws and regulations are currently made in Brussels).
We also attract people of all ages (although unfortunately, as she says, not many of the younger generation attend political meetings), and we find that support for Britain leaving the European Union is particularly strong among younger people especially when they have heard the facts.
We have policies on all of the major issues of the day, and an excellent manifesto. The "Independence Dividend" is the £20bn pounds a year that we would have to spend when we leave the EU.
With this money, we have pledged to improve pensions, take a million of the poorest-paid people out of the tax bracket, employ more teachers, police, and nurses, and specifically to increase nurses' pay.
A vote for Labour, Conservative, or Lib-Dem is a vote to stay in the EU. And remember there are no half-measures - "in Europe but not ruled by Europe" is not an option. A vote for UKIP is a vote to come out.
RICHARD CHAMINGS,
Parliamentary Candidate U K Independence Party, Worcester.
