A TOP chef will be hoping to curry favour with Bromsgrove foodies when he cooks up a treat at the Hanover International Hotel & Club.
Udit Sarkhel, chef-owner of Sarkhel's Indian Cuisine in Southfields, London, and former executive chef of the London Bombay Brasserie, is launching an Indian Food Week at the hotel.
Mr Sarkhel has cooked throughout India as head chef for the Taj Mahal Hotel Group and his accolades include the Pat Chapman Curry Club Award for the Best Indian in the UK 2000 to 2001.
He also picked up the Carlton Award for London's best Indian restaurant and the BIBA Best In Britain Awards for 1999 and last year.
His restaurant was awarded the Bib Gourmand in this year's Michelin Guide.
"We're expecting this event to be enormously popular with Udit demonstrating superbly authentic classical and home-style Indian cooking," said general manager Tim Churchman.
The Indian Food Week will run from Monday until Saturday and will include evening barbecues on the terrace on the Friday and Saturday at £19.50 a head.
More details are available from the hotel on 01527 577977.
