Early release schemes would be abolished for repeat offenders and no bail would be given.
This would send a clear message to the perpetrators of crime that our society
has had enough. For the more heinous offences, we reinforce that life should
mean life.
Prisoners should not be offered early release. Such leniency
brings the law into disrepute (as evidenced by anti-paedophile protests).
I feel that the effectiveness of our police is hindered by too much
bureaucratic procedure and political correctness. We believe in getting back
to more traditional policing with the emphasis on criminals not motorists.
With the UK Independence Party's cornerstone objective of withdrawal from the EU, there will be a huge cash dividend as at present we contribute
over £200m a week. Much of these funds will be directed to our social needs, including the LEA.
Britain is the fourth largest economy in the world and we need educational
facilities to match our global future and to maintain our place in the world.
The agriculture industry in this country, thanks mainly to our government and its priorities to look after the interests of the European farmers i.e. the European agricultural policy with its huge subsidies, has been drastically undermined.
Our farmers do not want to be seen as the beneficiaries of subsidies if they are allowed to compete on a level playing field, as was proved before our involvement in the EU. Britain had the most efficient farming industry in Europe.
We believe organic farming methods should be encouraged. Good
animal welfare and husbandry should also be encouraged.
On a personal note, I would strive to ban live animal exports completely.
