Vandalism occurs because of boredom and lack of amenities and facilities and this has to be addressed.

Regarding crime and vandalism, I'd like to have more police officers including some to encourage a more community spirit and work closely with the public. Therefore I would like a two tier police force, which would learn from past experience and look towards the future with better ways of maintaining "law and order" without extra CCTV cameras everywhere.

Police should be "heavy" only when they need to be with, a more subtle approach locally to the resident's ordinary situations.

Our policy would like local education authorities to have more money, at present money is being withered away and schools get less and less. The Green Party is concerned that children with special needs are not being addressed adequately and being neglected in general. Music and the arts are not part of the National Curriculum - only in words - it just appears as if they are. The Green Party believes creative skills should be encouraged more so children can discover their natural gift.

More money should be made available from central government into the education system.

The green party feels the Common Agricultural Policy should be scrapped. We feel more grants and funds should be made available to farmers. We want to encourage more farmers market in towns near to rural areas.

We feel farm shops are a very good way for producers to sell their products, some even sell meat as well. We want to encourage a more natural and organic form of farming with outlets closer to source and not having to travelling very long distances to market when we have our own local farmers nearby. We are against genetically modified food and the testing of them.

We encourage the use of box scheme which means people can buy small amounts regularly from local growers which would support small farm business.

Bring back the local abattoirs, or use mobile abattoirs to help stop incidents of foot and mouth getting to the proportions we
