BOB Brierley bases his comments regarding charitable donations from Worcestershire Hunt on a very odd logical premise.
No one would disagree that Air Ambulance, Arthritis Research and so on, are extremely good causes. The problem is that making charitable donations to good causes does not ensure that you are a cause worthy of support yourself.
His wider point regarding the distribution of local funding is not generally a matter for MPs, and is (and should continue to be) an issue for local government.
However under this (and undoubtedly the next) Labour government we will see central intervention in the form of the new hospital.
In effect, asking our democratically elected MP to ignore his election promises (the fight against foxhunting being a clear part of Mike Foster's policies from day one) and look the other way is a poor argument for the continuation of his barbaric sport.
