BROMYARD tennis champion, Tracey Powell, secured a record-equalling seventh win at Hereford and Worcester County Closed championships at Malvern's Manor Park.
Her win brought her level with the number of titles achieved by Jane Poynder, an LTA coach at Manor Park, who was there to present Powell with her trophy.
Powell, who coaches at Bewdley Tennis Club, defeated Katie Miles, 6-3, 6-2, and later celebrated a double with partner, Liz Veal from Manor Park, when they beat Miles and Charlotte Lines, 6-7, 7-5, 6-2 in a closely fought ladies doubles final.
In the men's championships, Colin Bennett from Ross-on-Wye, beat Mark Siviter, 6-2, 6-3, to land his third title.
Siviter and brother, Paul, from Edgbaston Priory Tennis Club, bounced back to beat Manor Park's, Michael Marks and Geoff Smith, 6-4, 6-3 in the men's doubles.
