YOUTH could get its chance on Saturday as Kidderminster Harriers search for their first Division Three double at York City to crown their Football League debut.

Midfielder Ben Davies and striker Andy Corbett, both 19, have been given limited chances in the first team -- but they hope to start at the weekend.

Harriers lost 1-0 last Saturday at home to Hartlepool who booked their play-off place.

Assistant manager Gary Barnett maintained: "There are still people playing for contracts and places next season.

"It's about showing the gaffer what they can do and a few of the youngsters might figure.

"Next week, we will sit down with the players and see which we will be keeping on.

"York have had a very difficult season as well but we want to concentrate on playing some good football and getting a win.

"Lee Nogan has notched a few important goals for them and we are aware of him."

Harriers, meanwhile, are continuing to look at trialists in preparation for next season.

Reading's Alex Haddow and Chris Smith are set to play a second reserve game at Telford tonight along with Cambridge midfield man Alex Russell.

Left-winger Haddow, 19, scored twice against Rushden on Monday, while Derby-born centre-back Smith, 19, also figured. Both are being released.

Russell, 28, played more than 100 league games for Rochdale and helped Cambridge to promotion from Division Three.

Barnett added: "Alex is a good player and with John Beck taking over at Cambridge, he plays his football a different way.

"He's looking to try and get himself sorted with another club and he may be an option.

"We need to make sure the squad can compete next season. You look at the teams coming down like Oxford, Luton, Swansea and possibly Bristol Rovers who will all be looking to bounce straight back.

"Then there's Rushden coming up from the Conference who are going to be very difficult."
