PEOPLE in Worcestershire are being offered a cheaper way to travel thanks to a new ticket being offered by Central Trains.
The company is offering parties of three or four adults the opportunity to travel cut price with its GroupSave ticket, which would allow them to travel for the price of two adults.
The scheme, which covers the whole of the Central Train Network and prices set by the company, also offers concessions for families wanting to travel together. Under the offer, up to four children aged between five and 15 can travel for £1 each.
Ged Burgess, communications manager for Central trains, said the GroupSave Tickets should help groups wanting to avoid traffic jams but not wanting to pay more money.
"People travelling in groups of three or four prefer using the car as rail travel becomes more expensive as the group size gets bigger," he said.
"But with GroupSave passengers can save more with a larger group and avoid the hassles of being caught in traffic."
For more information on the tickets contact the nearest staffed station or call 0870 000 6060 or 08457 484950 for timetable information. The tickets can be purchased on a train if groups are travelling from unstaffed stations.
