"A PINT of lager and a blood pressure test, please," may well be the order placed in a Kidderminster pub next week.
Health professionals will be dropping in to The Musketeer in Avon Road at 6.30pm to target men for a range of tests including blood pressure, height and weight and diabetes.
Wyre Forest Primary Care Trust chief executive Peter Forrester said: "We know from the Worcestershire Men's Health Improvement Programme that there are many barriers to men getting the health services they need.
"This project takes health messages to where men are and is one positive thing we can do to make a difference."
Pubs are being targeted as men are less likely to seek help about their health than women.
Smokers will be able to take a "smokerlyser" test which shows how much carbon dioxide is in their blood and how the habit affects them. The health visitors will also be at The Park Inn in Stourport on Saturday, July 14.
