NICKY Driver missed the point I was making (You Say, June 11).
It is precisely because those involved in the Countryside Alliance were not, during 18 years of Conservative Government, moved to form themselves into a protest group - when apart from a ban on foxhunting other rural problems were in evidence - which prompted me to ask why.
And until legislation is passed to ban hunting with hounds, it is very unlikely that foxes and stags as well as other wild animals subject to sporting abuse will look forward to a "bright and viable future".
