AN eight-year-old boy from a village near Droitwich Spa could have a rosy career as an award-winning gardener.
Grant Durose, a Wychbold First School pupil, scooped a prize in the regional final of the Kindergarden Plants National Schools Comp-etition.
Entrants had to grow busy Lizzie plants and Grant impressed judges at Worcester Garden Centre who awarded him second place.
Thanks to Grant's efforts the school was given £100.
Headteacher Julia Harwood plans to spend the money on new shrubs for the grounds.
