HOUSEHOLDERS have been warned about the perils of leaving their home vulnerable to burglars.
Between April 1 and May 31, police received 58 reported raids across south Worcestershire where access was gained through an unlocked door or window.
Thirteen incidents were in Droitwich Spa.
A Worcester division spokeswoman said: "It's all too tempting to leave our doors and windows open in hot weather and when we are out in the garden.
"Incidents such as these serve to remind us just how quick and easy it is for sneak-in thieves to get into your home and take what they want.
"The few extra minutes it takes to lock up will put off the opportunist thief."
