THE town's MP nearly found himself at the centre of a sex scandal last week.
Tory Peter Luff bought his London residence 18 months ago from Ann Widdecombe, who was the shadow home secretary in the last parliament.
Although Mr Luff made no secret of the fact, it was not widely known among journalists.
When Miss Widdecombe indicated she may stand in the Tory leadership election, reporters camped outside what they thought was her home. Fortunately, Mr Luff was in Worcestershire.
He said: "You can imagine what would have happened if I had walked out into all those flashing lenses."
