COMPLAINTS about the refuse collection service in Alvechurch have spurred the village's parish council to lodge an official appeal to Bromsgrove Council, writes Julian Seva.
Since Christmas, villagers have had to wait an extra week for rubbish to be collected after bank holidays.
Bromsgrove Council introduced fixed day collections, meaning some people missed out during bank holiday weeks.
The council claimed people were previously confused when informed about revised collection days during a bank holiday week, so abandoned collections altogether.
