HANOVER Court, Headless Cross, took part in the National Sheltered Housing Week from 21-27 May. The theme for our event was Around the World in 80 Days and we chose France as our first destination.
I would like to thank NEW College, Bromsgrove and Redditch campuses, for their marvellous help and support. Abby Bayliss and some of her students gave all the lady visitors and residents a French manicure.
We were also very fortunate to have the new Mayor, Councillor Dot Dudley, with us for coffee and croissants. Representatives from the Friends of Auxerre visited to give an interesting talk on Redditch's twin town.
Later on in the week, Mark Maters and Craig Burston from NEW College gave an informative lecture on French Impressionists and ran a workshop so that everyone had the opportunity to create their own masterpieces!
Everyone really enjoyed the week. Thank you once again to all those who made it such a success.
