ANYONE who missed out on a knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours list at the weekend need not despair.
An auction house has five ancient knightships up for grabs, which allow the owner to call themselves Sir or Dame.
It is the first time Arrow Auctions, of Washford, has sold anything of the sort.
The seller is Sir Charles Buchanan Turnor who is selling them from the estate of the Marchioness Buchanan, the senior commander of the Company of the Plantagenet Toxophilites.
Each title comes complete with its own deeds and the holder can even have Sir or Dame written on their passport or other legal documentation.
They can be left in wills or sold on but relate to name only, not land or property.
