A centre offering a creche and children's clubs to Redditch youngsters has been given a major revamp after two town companies teamed up, writes Matt Smith.
The Children's Centre in Hawthorne Road, Batchley - part of Redditch Play Council - was chosen to receive the makeover by kind-hearted staff at Boots and Halfords.
A team of nearly 30 workers from the Batchley centre and the two firms began work at the site on Friday.
After the grounds were cleared, new fences were put up before a new sunken sandpit and seesaw were added as part of the revamp of the facilities, which are used by about 200 children each week aged between one and 13.
