A VASTLY improved performance saw Bromsgrove under-15s record their first victory of the season against Feckenham U15s in their latest Sun Life of Canada league game.
On winning the toss Bromsgrove batted first and totalled 80 for seven from their allotted 20 overs. The innings was built around Chris Rands (21) with useful contributions from Baker (12 not out) and Davies (11).
Bromsgrove then took a stranglehold on the game by reducing the home side to 20 for five with fine early bowling from Baker and German backed up by some good fielding and catching.
Feckenham rallied but Chim, Thurbon and Ben Rands held their nerve as Feckenham finished on 71 for seven. Bromsgrove were the winners by nine runs.
