BROMSGROVE First XI, like the rest of Birmingham Premier League Division One, were denied a chance to play on Saturday because of the thunderstorms on Friday and the persistent rain on Saturday.
The square flooded on Friday afternoon and attempts to prepare a fresh wicket on Saturday morning were thwarted by the constant rain.
Fortunately for Bromsgrove, all other clubs were forced to cancel their games so it's a status quo in the league table.
The abandoned game gave Bromsgrove a chance to reflect on the season so far.
Club captain Nick Husbands said: "The side is confident going into the second half of the season that they can build on the potential they have shown in the last few games."
This Saturday sees the town entertain Leamington, skippered by ex-England star Wayne Larkins.
On Sunday, St Godwalds Park hosted a six-a-side competition featuring clubs and businesses from around the town.
The final was a closely fought game with Bromsgrove Corinthians FC giving the conservatives their second loss of the month.
Needing six off the last ball, the Conservatives could only muster a scrambled two.
