TO celebrate Women's Football Awareness Week, the Worcestershire Football Association are hosting their first female football festival this Saturday.

In partnership with Pershore High School and Wychavon District Council, the one-day festival will be held at Pershore High School and opens at 10.30am, with the first competitive games starting at 11am.

The day is aimed at all girls and women aged between eight and 80 in Worcestershire who already play or want to have a go at football.

In addition to the tournament there will be coaching stations to improve existing skills and try out new techniques.

Stalls selling everything needed to play, from shin pads to first aid kits will be available, along with refreshment kiosk's.

Friends, work colleagues or school friends are all encouraged to go along and enter a team.
