CAST members of the world's longest running radio soap, The Archers, are set to visit Hanbury, believed by many to be the inspiration behind the programme, to mark a historic event.
Hanbury Hall is 300 years old and at an exclusive birthday party radio stars Trevor Harrison and Hedli Niklaus, who play Eddie Grundy and Kathy Perks in The Archers, will be guest speakers.
The venue is closely associated with the programme. It is believed the fictitious Borsetshire property Lower Loxley Hall, is based on Hanbury Hall.
Celebrations include a champagne reception in the Grand Hall, a four-course meal in the courtyard marquee and access to the gardens and special exhibition. Music at the event, on Friday July 6, will be played by Con Spirito String Quartet.
Property manager at The National Trust-run hall Stewart Alcock said: "We are proud of our links with the series and glad while we are celebrating 300 years of the present hall The Archers have their own celebrations of 50 years."
Tickets to this exclusive black-tie event are £45 per person and can be booked on 01985 843601.
