THE Redditch police, active and zealous though they be, are hardly pretensious enough in making known their wants.
They endured the old police station longer than anybody of man on earth would have done.
But now they have a commodious station they need still one more thing.
They want a stretcher. It would be perhaps as well to clearly specify what kind of stretcher it is they need.
What they need is a stretcher for carrying injured people upon.
The accident to a waggoner at Hewell Park on Monday meant that the police were summoned but a stretcher had to be borrowed from the Smallwood Hospital before they could remove the injured man.
Perhaps the local authority or some philanthropic individual will take the hint.
