REDDITCH Council has now joined in the warnings to parents about letting children swim in the Arrow Valley Lake.
'The water in the lake is very cold and very deep. Even strong swimmers can be affected.
'People must not swim there, it is very dangerous,' said the principal amenities officer at Redditch Council, Mr Bill Pilcher.
He went on to point out that the council had last year introduced a set of rules governing the lake and it was up to people to observe them.
'The police are called if people are swimming there. And there are duty wardens and the volunteer lifesaving group at weekends but we cannot always be vigilant.'
Last week, warnings were issues about the lake but even after that children were seen swimming in it.
