DROITWICH tenpin bowling ace Andrew Jones was in tremendous form at the National Junior Singles event in Nottingham last month.
The 12-year-old took the title -- winning a gold medal and tenpin trophy -- after his top scores beat that of over 2,000 youngsters during four weekends in May. Andrew bowled an average of 188 in nine games.
But his glory didn't stop there.
The Witton Middle School pupil won another gold medal and a silver trophy after finishing with the highest overall masters score, together with his four team mates from Worcester Wizards.
He also won a silver medal in the intermediate division of the masters doubles with partner Andy Powell.
Andrew, who practices three times a week at Wickets in Worcester, is already a member of the Worcestershire under-14 tenpin team.
