"SHABBY" Rubery is being left to deteriorate because of neglect by the district authority - a leading Labour representative has claimed.
Bromsgrove district councillor Peter McDonald (Lab, Uffdown and Waseley) has campaigned for nearly a year to get vandalised bollards in the village's main shopping area replaced. He has also lobbied Bromsgrove District Council to clean up graffiti.
Cllr McDonald is so fed up with the village being neglected he has put forward a motion on next Tuesday's full council meeting to find out why it is being allowed to deteriorate. Council leader Cllr Nick Psirides (Con, Norton) said it will be discussed at the meeting if the matter is on the agenda.
