THE family of a distraught Bromsgrove woman who had six pet dogs stolen from her home on Monday has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
Anne Hill, from Charford, said her 63-year-old mother, Doris Salt, is heartbroken.
The toy poodles, two black bitches, one apricot bitch, two chocolate-coloured bitches and a chocolate dog were bred by Mrs Salt.
They are worthless for breeding purposes.
Anne said the dogs were stolen from her mother's residential caravan, in Yarnold Lane, Bournheath, sometime between 7am and 10.45am.
She said her mother returned to find the caravan door wide open and the dogs gone.
Nothing else was missing.
A search of the area by the family drew a blank.
"The thieves must have been watching because there is someone usually about the place," Anne said.
Anne has had posters printed calling for the public's help in tracking down the dogs, and which she plans to put up around the district.
The family has put up a reward for information leading to a conviction and return of the pets.
"I appeal to anyone offered a cheap toy poodle with no pedigree and in need of a trim to contact the police," Anne said.
"My mother is heartbroken at losing her dogs, especially as two have heart murmours and another suffers from allergic asthma and needs daily medication.
