UNDER-AGE drinking and vandalism is set to be targeted in Catshill as four bobbies move into new village headquarters.
The faces of constables Steve Penson, Chris Sewell, Jim Guinivan and Michelle Caldicott are set to become familiar sights around the village as part of a community policing initiative.
It harks back to the old-fashioned bobby on the beat principle and, instead of dealing with village crimes from Bromsgrove police station, in The Crescent, the four officers are on hand above Catshill Clinic, in The Dock.
Although the premises are not a drop-in centre residents will be able to make statements there and can make appointments to discuss important issues with police.
PC Penson said: "By heightening our presence in Catshill we hope to decrease concerns which are in the minds of residents including vandalism and under-age drinking."
PC Sewell added: "We are looking forward to being on hand to serve the people of Catshill."
