CHADDESLEY Corbett aim to make it third time lucky in the National Village Championships regional final against old rivals Colwall.
The Herefordshire club have beaten Chaddesley by seven wickets at the same stage in each of the last two seasons.
But the Worcestershire League Division One side, who have climbed to mid-table after a bad start, are hoping this could be their chance.
Only three years ago, they reached the quarter-finals nationally only to fall to a team from Northamptonshire.
Skipper Matt Boden said: "It would be great to get that far again - everyone in the club and village would love to do that.
"The last run really drew the people down to the club.
"We are in a pretty rich vein of form after having a slow start to the season."
Chaddesley, who play Worcester Nomads in the Saturday league, have not changed much from last season - but then neither have Colwall, according to Boden.
He continued: "We are both fairly settled teams but we hope to turn the tables.
"The competition does not tend to be that strong until this stage."
Among the key men for Chaddesley could be pace man Andrew Baylis, spinner Paul Connelly, all-rounder Ian Chambers and big-scoring Kevin Truswell.
They had a comfortable journey to the finals of the Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Powys stage.
A semi-final was not even needed as opponents Luctonians withdrew.
Play starts from 2pm at Chaddesley on Sunday.
