A SEARCH for royalty is underway as preparations for this year's Stourport Carnival continue.
The hunt is on once again to trace past kings and queens of Stourport carnivals and find seven missing title holders.
Publicity officer Pete Roberts said: "Last year organisers and the Stourport public made a great effort to complete the roll of honour and we would love to finish it this year.
"We are trying to find details and picturesof kings and queens from 1936, 1966, 1972, 1973, 1979, 1981 and 1982."
He added entries were now being accepted for trade stands ahead of the event on Saturday, September 1, which will feature a parachute jump, WWF wrestlers and the Shirley Pipe and Drum Band, as well as land and river parades.
Entry forms are also available for walkers and floats and can be obtained from Pete's Prints, Bridge Street, Stourport.
