JUDO: Dynamite Amy Darch was on the gold medal trail again at the Surrey Judo Open at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in London.
The Samurai Judo Club junior totally devastated her weight category, winning every contest by maximum point throws without conceding a score.
Darch, of Kidderminster, took gold for the second consecutive weekend after previously winning at the Bushido Open Tournament in Wolverhampton.
There were five other medals at Crystal Palace for the Samurai club in a very satisfactory day.
Daniel Everton had a tough time in the early rounds but once he got going a series of four consecutive wins took him to the final and an eventual silver medal.
Karl Gaughan added a bronze for the latest generation of up-and-coming players and in the heavier weights there was also a bronze for Everton's elder brother Kyle.
Meanwhile, the experienced Kate Walker did well in a tough group to reach the final which she lost on just two minor scores, adding another silver to the club haul.
In the senior section of the club, Mike Waldron has become the latest Samurai to reach the coveted grade of fourth-level black belt.
Waldron had already completed the contest requirements and passed his theory examination at a course last weekend.
Joyce Malley also passed her fourth dan theory and Matt Godfrey put together an excellent performance to pass his second dan theory with a high score.
But both of these have a little more to do on the contest side before they can claim their next grades.
