HOCKEY: High-scoring Stourport sprang a surprise in the Mercian Summer League Premier Division with a narrow 8-6 win over last season's title holders Stone.

Stourport are now seventh in the table after winning two of their three matches and scoring 12 goals.

But they were put to the test against second-placed Stone who had been previously unbeaten in the competition.
