BIRD owners in Stourport have been warned to be on their guard following the latest in a series of thefts from aviaries.
Thieves forced the lock on a garden aviary in Bullus Road between Thursday and Friday morning and stole two pairs of bullfinches and a pair of goldfinches worth around £250.
Police say the six birds are ringed and anyone offered them should contact Kidderminster Police Station.
It is the third raid on aviaries in the Stourport area over recent weeks and police are advising owners to make sure their security is updated.
In previous incidents in May, 14 canaries were stolen from the garden of a house in Power Station Road and 15 budgies from a garden aviary in Mill Close.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Kidderminster police on 01562 820888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
