THE rain happily relented to allow Michael de Navarro to stage his annual challenge match on Sunday.
And, the day went well for the Broadway president as his side overcame a club eleven by 19 runs.
Former Worcestershire and England star Neil Radford proved the president's trump card with an innings of 66 in a total of 181-7 and the all-rounder then proved helpful in a restrictive spell with the ball.
Tim Morris (47) and Andy Beale (39no) did their best with the bat to spoil the president's afternoon but Broadway were unable to reach their target at the end of a competitive clash.
