A ROSEBUD competition, the aim of which is to raise funds for the ELGA Trust in order to promote junior girls' golf in England, was played in conjunction with a club stableford at Broadway.
The overall winner was Jane Wheeler who produced yet another remarkable score of 43 points, again reducing her handicap. She was also the bronze section winner.
Runner-up was Molly King-Smith (37) on the back nine from Lorraine Davis.
The winner of the Silver Division was Kathryn Morris (38) again on countback from Janet Straw.
The club staged an Open Ladies' Am-Am on Monday when 31 teams from 13 different clubs took part.
With two net scores out of the four to count, the winning team, consisting of Broadway members Lyn Chambers, lady captain Denise Parker, Pauline O'Hagan and Gill Dunsby, carded an impressive net 135.
Three shots back was a team from Redditch with another Broadway quartet of Jenny Bruton, Jenny Brotherton, Pat Righton and June Griffin taking third place (139).
Nearest the pin, just 20" away on the par three fifth was past captain, Pam Hooper, while on the eighth hole, Daphne Higginson from Naunton Downs drove to within 33" of the pin.
Anne Pendleton from Brailes, meanwhile, scored an unbeatable ace on hole 13.
