CRAIG Moss was crowned club champion at Evesham for the third successive year on Sunday.

Playing off scratch over 36 holes, he carded a gross 75 in the morning round and a gross 69 in the afternoon for a winning total of 144.

The morning scores were rather poor, due to the windy conditions, making the standard scratch 72, but conditions improved in the afternoon, reducing it to 71.

Runner up was Warwick Holland after rounds of 76 and 74 with Gary Bristow in third (78, 74).

The Frank Swan Trophy was won by Geoff Day (85-10-75, 75-10-65) on a countback from John Duval (77-7-70, 77-7-70).

The prize for the best gross AM was won by Richard Minton (76), while the best net AM prize went to Mich-ael Callaghan (0).

The best gross PM was recorded by Bristow (74), with the best net PM carded by Neil Sheppard (69).

Captain Bristow tasted success in a Mixed Open when, partnered by Christine Saunders from The Vale, the pair's 41 points proved five too many for their closest rivals.

The popular seniors Invitation Day was played in fine conditions as a better ball medal off handicap.

Playing for the John Dale Trophy the winners, with a net 66, were the captain of the seniors Ray Smart, partnered by T J Perry (Broadway) to complete a hat-trick of wins.

Evesham's senior team recorded a comfortable 4-2 win against Tewkesbury Park.
